Our training programs are designed to get the most out of your dog. The Introduction to Hunting course gives a young dog the right start for its hunting career. The Gun Dog program gives the dog the technical background and experiences to be a polished gun dog. The Gun Dog program also includes a 2-day training session for the owner to learn how to handle their dog. Advanced courses are also available in handling for retrievers, and steadiness for pointers and flushers.

INTRO TO HUNTING  4 week program

(dogs as young as 5 months)

Introduction to birds, guns, retrieving, pointing (pointing breeds), upland hunting, and water (when weather permits). A demonstration and an honest evaluation of the dogs strengths and weaknesses will be given at the end of the course.

GUN DOG  12 week program

(dogs as young as 9 months)

Retrievers and Spaniels - Covers obedience, retrieve to hand, control in the field, steady at the line, upland and waterfowl hunting.

Pointers - Covers obedience, retrieve to hand, control in the field, steady point to flush, and upland hunting.

Includes 2 days of handler training at our facility.

Handling for blind retrieves.

Steadiness to wing, shot, and fall for flusher and pointers.
